Consultations

The receptionist will arrange for you to have an appointment with a nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor. Please help us to provide a high quality service by seeing the appropriate health professional. In order to make access to the surgery easier, we have four receptionists making appointments early in the morning. If you wish for advice to be given over the telephone rather than an appointment please ask the receptionist to see if this is appropriate.

Automatic check-in - This is available in the entrance as an alternative to waiting at the reception desk. It is necessary to enter the details slowly and ensure the appointment is completed - this will make sure your details have been accepted.

Doctors and Nurse Practitioners

An appointment system is used for consultations during ordinary surgery hours.  The majority of appointments are made on the same day that you wish to see the doctor.  A small number of appointments, however, can be pre-booked two weeks in advance. If you wish to make an afternoon appointment please ring after 9.00am to allow those patients requiring a morning appointment to contact the surgery.

Nurses

Practice nurse clinics are held every day. Pre-bookable and same-day appointments are available. The nurses are able to issue a prescription if necessary.
Appointments are available to see the practice nurses for a number of services in our clinics section.
