How do I...
Obtain Telephone Advice?
It may be possible for advice to be given over the telephone rather
than an appointment – please check with the receptionist.
Chaperones
If you prefer a chaperone to be present at any examination then please make
this known.
Self-Help
It is not always necessary to see a doctor or nurse for minor problems. Self-help
information is available in the waiting room. The local pharmacy may also be
able to give advice.
How do I...
Make An Appointment?
If you wish to make an afternoon appointment please ring after 9.00am to allow
patients requiring a morning appointment to contact the surgery.
Cancelling appointments
If for any reason you are unable to keep your appointment could you please
inform the surgery as soon as possible. It is possible to cancel your appointment
when we are closed by ringing 0844 477 3068 option 1.
Appointments are also available to see the practice nurses.
How do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
Please do not ask the doctor to call unless the patient is housebound or genuinely
too ill to attend the surgery. Lack of transport is not a reason for a home visit.
Please note that it does not harm a patient to attend the surgery if they have
a temperature.
When requesting a home visit please use the designated telephone number 0844
477 3068 before 10.00am. This number is for home visits only and
should not be used for any other purpose.
How do I...
Obtain Test Results?
Please call or telephone the surgery regarding tests results between the hours
of 11.00am and 3.30pm. Only patients themselves (or a child’s parents)
may collect the results. Pregnancy test results will only be given to the patient
personally at the health centre - results will not be given over the telephone.
